PSA CONTEST: Official Rules

Your entry should focus on the importance of safe driving and the dangers of distracted driving. Emphasize the dangers of text messaging, not wearing a seat belt, talking on the cell phone, speeding and not staying alert and focused when your behind the wheel.

PSA’s are to be produced by students only. No professional production assistance is allowed other than a professional may act as a mentor to you or the team. Photo releases must be signed by participants, parents, or a legal guardian.

No copyrighted material such as but not limited to: video, music or images may be used or reproduced without proper written consent. Create a PSA as if someone’s life depended on it, but most of all be creative and have fun.

All rights to video submissions become the sole property of SAJD.

PSA CONTEST: Prizes

1st Place winner receives $1,000.00 and their PSA will be aired on
NBC-2 & ABC-7 thanks to Czaia & Gallagher, P.A. In addition your PSA will
be highlighted on the Stay Alive …. Just Drive ! web site.

2nd Place winner receives $500.00 and your PSA will be
highlighted on the Stay Alive …. Just Drive ! web site.

3rd Place winner receives $250.00 and your PSA will be
highlighted on the Stay Alive …. Just Drive ! web site.

Video Length: 30 Second Video PSA

Formats- DVD, CD, E-Mail, or anyway you can get your PSA Video to us.

* If you have a youtube, Facebook, Myspace, or any Blog site that you can post your video so we can downloaded it that will be acceptable.

Deadline for submitting your PSA video is
October the 14th 2009

Jay Anderson Traffic Safety Professional and Executive Director of STAY ALIVE….JUST DRIVE!
Will be on hand to give a brief over view of Stay Alive….Just Drive Program and the many people that can and do benefit for this, followed by a meet and greet session.
Our goal is to bring awareness to distractive driving prevention and gain the communities support for this vitally important program. In Addition it is also our ultimate goal to go Crash Free for One Year.
Jay Anderson will briefly talk about SAJD and how the importance of non distractive driving can ultimately save countless lives. With School and Season back in full swing it is important for SAJD to spread the awareness to the people of SWFL so you to can be a conscious driver.
This is completely FREE to attend. There will be food and beverages served, Ft. Myers Police Department will have the SAJD truck on display for the public, An EMS safety demonstration will be there so don’t miss that.
